"Who's Who in Arkansas Black History" exhibit opens in February and runs through Labor Day weekend in honor of Black History Month highlighting African Americans who have made significant contributions to our state's history and to our nation.

| Heritage Day Festival |
|
The third weekend in May, EMOBA celebrates Arkansas' Heritage Month with its annual JamFest Heritage Day Festival with Soul food, Historical Lectures, and Free entertainment. A special part of the festival is "JamFest", EMOBA's annual 3-On-3 basketball tournament. There are awards presented at the Sportsmanship and Volunteer Awards Luncheon honoring tournament players with National Celebrities' Sidney Moncrief Sportsmanship Award, the Hubert "Geese" Ausbie Showmanship Award, and the Joe Klein Determination Award.

| Sportsmanship and Volunteer Award Luncheon |
|
July is the annual "Sportsmanship and Volunteer Award Luncheon" with changing nationally known speakers. This luncheon recognizes players from EMOBA's JamFest Heritage Day 3-On-3 Basketball tournament who demonstrates sportsmanship, determination, and showmanship during their game. It also highlights volunteers of EMOBA that have given not only financially, but their time and talents.

| Teens in Action |
|
Mid-June through Mid-August is "Teens in Action" Summer Youth Program. For eight weeks, young people between the ages of 6 and 15 learn about art appreciation, dance, speech, acting, scene design, staging and other career choices. Home cooked meals are provided.

| Turtle Cove |
|
EMOBA's Teens in Action present "Turtle Cove," a three Act play written by Ernie Dodson. This fairy tale tells of two slaves determined to reach freedom, the first Friday in August at the Heritage House Outdoor Theater.

| Award of Excellence |
|
September is the bi-annual "Award of Excellence" Ceremony Banquet to Outstanding Arkansans. Former recipients include: the late Art Porter and Louis Jordan, Gladys McFadden and the Loving Sisters, Al Green and Dr. Dale Cowling, and Daisy Bates. Nominations are welcome.

| Haunted Cathedral |
|
The last two weeks of October, EMOBA presents its Annual fundraiser, "The Haunted Cathedral". Arkansas' largest and scariest haunted attraction. This event uses both local actors and animatronics to give patrons the most scare for their buck.

| Tales of Christmas |
|
December is a time to relax at EMOBA's Cultural Center. Hear "Tales of Christmas" as told only by the Kenta Klauses while sipping cider and nipping on Krumpets. Click here to see a few images from Christmas.
